Hi Scott: Thanks for your message. I turned off my cell phone while I was at the cottage so I did not notice your call until I was on my way home late last night. What a pleasure it was to meet Gerry Huck. A delightful caring man he is. Must be because he owns a Boston Whaler eh! Seriously, you could not have picked a more appropriate person to deliver my Whaler. Gerry launched her and I was able to take over and take her to her near-by slip. Everything was checked out and we did notice that one bumper/fender was short. Not too worry, I purchased a replacement. Suggest you might consider taking the replacement cost to you off the price of the Mercury Engine Cover. If this works for you, otherwise I will be fine. Once again, I now know why Ed Huck Marine Limited is a Master Whaler Dealer and why you have been in business for 127 years. It's not just the experience and service that matter, it's the caring and follow-up of people who make the organization. So you might think about a new slogan for your company "OUR PRODUCTS ARE BOATS. OUR STRENGTH IS PEOPLE!"
I am back the Stony Lake on Thursday for the long weekend to enjoy my Whaler and all its attributes. I know that this is a very busy time for you but I will wish you a Happy Long Weekend anyway. Regards
Bert J. Lloyd
Hi Sue , Just a word of special thanks for the complimentary spring
servicing and gas-up of our year old Cobalt.
It was not until I got the boat out into the main channel, that I realized
that it was much cleaner than I left it..... a very nice surprise !!!
Thanks also to Don and Peter, and it more than makes up for our mutual
frustrations of last year.
Wishing everyone a great boating season
Jack and Marg Alexander
Good morning Sue,
I want to thank you and your crew (Gord, Ken, Carol, Scott, Ryan…) for taking such special care of my old boat. I have never received such prompt attention and attention to detail as I have from the great team at Ed Huck’s!
Thanks to you, my days on the boat are ggrrreeeeaaaatttttt!
Have a ggrrreeeeaaaaatttttt day….

Leanne and I would like to thank you very much for a great day Saturday with Ed Huck Marine and the Cobalt owners. We really didn't expect the event to have been so elaborate, in particular the dinner location, live music, etc. and I know that Leanne's parents were thrilled that they shared in the event too so thank you very much for allowing us to bring guests. It is clear that we didn't just buy a great boat but we also bought from a great dealer!
Hope to see you on Poker Run weekend.
Leanne & Jim
PS. Please pass our thanks on to Peter and Scott.

I always tell everyone the best thing about Hucks is the people and that includes all staff. Thanks to you gals for keeping an eye on the old folk anchored in Thunderstorm Alley. Special thanks to Judy for waiting on our dock to assist. We stayed out so Denis and Tony could work on the dock and they did a super job especially when they only had a limited base to nail to.

Scott, Peter, Jody and Heather,
Thank you for your hospitality and thoughtfulness in inviting us on the 4th Annual Cobalt Cruise. Not even $4.50/gallon deters this crowd!
Brian, Debbi, Mary and I had a great time and were talking, on our return voyage, about the truly unique venues you have introduced us to - not to mention the people we have met. For example, this evening I met the maid-of-honor who attended for a good friend. Small world.
You make being a Cobalt owner a special experience. Mary and I appreciate being part of the Ed Huck Marine family. Thank you. Please pass this on to Jody and Heather?
PS Ryan did a GREAT job over the last few days - the boat looks great and I look forward to interacting with him in the future - a true asset to your business.

Thank you all for the great day. I know it takes a lot of work to put together a gathering of more that 10 people. Jody worked very hard, please send her my many thanks.
My boys and I will be talking about the day trip, wonderful home and dinner all year. We met new people, saw cool boats and enjoyed ourselves immensely, even staying past the 8pm curfew.
Ed Huck Marine and all associated with it exhibit a ‘Class Act Performance’.
Thank you all again and stop by Scotia any time you are on the river.

Hi Scott and Peter.
Just a quick note to thank you so much for this years Cobalt cruise. We really enjoyed the trip through the islands and having an opportunity to see the Sifton property and home. What an absolutely perfect location and the home is just beautifully done both inside and out without being ostentatious.
I am sure everyone who participated appreciated the opportunity to see the place. That was very generous and gracious of Graham.
Please also pass on our thanks to Jody for a well organized event.
Additionally, thanks so much for the "Days on the River" journal. What a great idea and a terrific keepsake. Gail gave me the painting of the Christmas ship a few years ago. We both enjoy Ringer's work for the feelings of the river that his work emotes.

Good Morning All!
Frances and I wanted to send off a quick thank you for your support and encouragement during our recent boat trade.
We are thrilled to be a part of your marina life and have already made the acquaintance of several other residents. We had some time this weekend to both explore and enjoy your amazing facility. The common areas are absolutely wonderful! We’ve uncovered a whole new side of Huck’s that we did not appreciate was there. Thank you for finding us a dock space and for working us out a great deal on the rest of the season.
Thank you for allowing Hurst the use of your facility this past week. We appreciate your ongoing support.

I arrived at the cottage this weekend to find your recent gift of appreciation on my coffee table. It seems that my brother found it on the boat with the note card. It isn't hard being the "best customer" at an establishment where courtesy and service go hand in hand to make it the best of the best.
Looking forward to another great summer at the River and to years of continuing friendship.

I was reading your testimonials on your web site and I have to agree that Huck's is the best. I have to thank you again for your help last summer in getting us the ice we needed for our daughter's wedding. Peter also helped me get our old Lyman working a couple of years ago. He contacted a fellow who came over the the island and fixed it. I was very impressed. Hucks is indeed a jewel and the Thousand Islands is very lucky to have you.
...Thank you so much for the awesome job you guys did on fixing the 3 small dings on our little whaler. The difference between you guys and everybody else is this: where you really shine is what you do after you've made a sale...and that's customer service, so important, and that's where you shine. Everybody else should get in line and learn how to be like all of you at Ed Huck !
Met Chris a week ago. All I can say is that everyone associated with your operation is exceptionally cordial, helpful, and courteous…..I can’t remember ever being treated and served so well!
Just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to rent the "Scenic Lodge" for the last month. It is truly a wonderful place!! Having an early morning coffee on the front porch, watching the ducks land and enjoying the spectacular river view is a beautiful experience. The spacious living area, multiple decks, the huge covered porch, immaculate grounds and the incredible view were the highlights.
We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary there with friends and family and everyone was in awe of the beauty. Being in a marina location and seeing all the gorgeous big cruisers docked nearby, made it a very unique experience and a great place to entertain a big crowd.

"Many thanks for a great time Saturday. We appreciated the chance to meet and talk with Paxon in the morning and the pm cruise was really something special. As always !!
Our guests really enjoyed themselves, too, and now their heads and hearts are clearly "Cobalt." I can tell."

Good morning Peter,
I personally, and on behalf of our club, want to thank you for your generosity. The participating members were impressed. It was a beautiful ride and day. There was a PWC poker run out of Clayton with about 50, if not more, participants. We were being asked if we were part of it!
I need to make a small correction, just to make sure I gave you the accurate information. The ride announcement was consulted 2447 times, not 3500, lol! I had prepared little "blurbs" about the history 1000 Islands that I posted daily prior to our ride: Lost Channel, Smuggler's Cove, Half-moon Bay, Thousand Island Park, etc, etc. I used your web site extensively, especially the theriver.me section to help me with that. Great resource.
A member took some photos and the club posted them on the site: http://motomarine.ca/16juillet.html
Enjoying boat very much, have been out on Lake Muskoka several times (every weekend for a day at least), and have found no granite yet! Boat really is a dream to drive…..the ride is exceptional as no issues with other boat wakes no matter what the size………..and likes to cruise at 3100 RPM/30 MPH which is quite fast, so you get there quickly. Lots of room for food and beverages en route. Everyone in family loves her, and she remains a real head turner wherever we go!
As you may have guessed, this boat is answering all my needs. I am most appreciative of your service, but more of your attitude and attention which in my experience remains unparalleled. And thanks for the card…...nice touch!
Many thanks for the hospitality. We had a blast.....along with about 8,000 other people and boats at Grenadier Island. Man, what a spot. David and Nicole enjoyed their first outing......little ones from all families had a blast. It looked much like a day care on the dock....for young and old I might mention.
Again, thanks for the excellent service and help.....you are all, one of a kind....can't imagine wanting to deal anywhere else!!!
As would any well advised consumer, I took some time to look around at what was available. I was surprised to see how much the “used car salesmen" approach is still in practice... but not at Ed Huck Marine. Your pricing is fair, you adopt a "best practices" approach to client services and sales, and it is appreciated.
You should be proud of the excellent job the crew did in commissioning the boat. Things were in order and clean. We only had a few things to clean up and arrange to our liking (can't expect you to know every quirk on our boat!). You can barely tell work had been done in the engine room as the salon was as we left it. I am most impressed with the level of service from all levels at Hucks. This may sound odd, but I'm not used to things getting done as promised and when promised in the mad spring rush. Overall, we're left with a very positive impression and would not hesitate to bring our boat in for service or recommend your services to our friends. At the very least, I'm sure we'll stop by the gas dock over the summer!
Customer service is the heart of a successful business. Private companies always talk about 'customer retention' but most don't understand that it means providing consistent top notch service to new AND existing customers. This approach simultaneously builds their customer loyalty, the companies reputation, and profitability. It's like this...every girl wants to feel like the only one in the room when they're dating or married...right? It's like that in business too...but now every girl and boy want to feel like they're the only ones your helping. In this economy, I was absolutely refreshed to witness your excellent service from our first conversation on the phone to our last email. Again, some businesses dismiss the female shopper and ask for the male of the house. Unfortunately, I've dealt with that poor attitude too often which leads me to give you an A+ for service. Keep up the great work and again...Chuck and I wish you continued success.
