ED HUCK MARINE'S NEWEST CAPITAL UPGRADE Over the past 15 years, Ed. Huck Marine has prided itself on always offering its' customers something unique to the marine industry with "firsts" in customer relationships, products, facilities and service. In order to accomplish this and continue to provide our customers with their best value, we have invested annually in capital expenditures in target areas ranging from new and replacement docks, pool upgrades, washrooms, security, slip upgrades and renovations, land acquisitions, dredging and most recently service upgrades. The recent investments in Service at Ed Huck Marine were begun with the goal of achieving minimal downtime through the ability to do regular preventative maintenance in the off-season and Monday to Friday turnarounds for in-season repairs.  To achieve this, significant monies have been spent on Technician training (currently 7 factory certified technicians on staff), new tools and diagnostic equipment and the fine tuning of 7,500 square feet of indoor service space.  This now allows us the ability to service your needs, almost at a moment's notice year round. But that is what we have already done, NOW what are we going to do? Over the past couple of years, Ed. Huck Marine has contracted locally renowned landscape architect Joe McFarlane to help develop a 5 year Facilities Plan to maximize our recreational areas for your relaxation and enjoyment.  Using both customer feedback and input from Joe, we have already begun some gradual transformations.  However, for the upcoming season be prepared for some pretty big aesthetic changes to your boating environment. Although plans have already been put in place for new "recreational/play areas", outdoor furniture, gazebos, paving, and washroom facelifts for next spring, we are still looking for constructive feedback to better improve your recreation environment.  Please feel free to contact Scott, Peter or Carol over the next couple of months with your suggestions. NEW 2009 SEA DOO MODELS Why not fast forward and restart thinking Spring and Summer all over again; Bombardier have some really really exciting new features coming out on next year's sea doo models - read all about these great features here.  Any questions, don't hesitate to contact Don, Judy or Scott on 613-659-3408 or email Don, Judy or Scott IT'S SHOW TIME! Hope you have had the chance to reserve your rooms at the Sheraton for the January 2009 Toronto Boat Show (416-361-1000) - they go very fast and we don't want anyone to be disappointed.  A great weekend away in the dreariest of months; what could be nicer than a Boat Show that is full of new ideas, beautiful boats and thoughts of warmer months combined with our own Ed Huck Marine Customer Appreciation Party. ED HUCK MARINE CUSTOMER APPRECIATION NIGHT - SATURDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 2009 Put on your gambling hats and cowboy boots and come and join us for a fun "Night At The Races" evening at the Sheraton Hotel, Saturday, January 10th, 2009.  Please e-mail me if you are hoping to attend.  Full details will be available shortly. DOCK BOXES & BAR-B-QUES Snow, ice, high winds and the like are detrimental to personal dock boxes and bar-b-ques if left on the docks.  Please ensure that they are tagged, covered and moved West of the old Scenic Lodge General Store before the end of the season; thank you. DOCKING CONTRACTS Our 2009 docking contracts are soon to be mailed out; please return them as soon as possible upon receipt so that we are able to offer up any open slips that may become available. RIPNET INTERNET SERVICE AT THE MARINA If you are a user (or have been) of Ripnet Wireless, we would really like to know how you would rate the quality of this service - great, barely adequate or not acceptable.  Drop me a line at any time. A very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving to one and all; enjoy the Fall. Until the next time. Sincerely, Carol Hyperlinks: scott@marina.ca peter@marina.ca  judy@marina.ca don@marina.ca
