After the arrival of snow last week, and before winter really gets underway, I hope everyone enjoys this lovely calm, green and peaceful view amid the islands, taken by Nancy McRae.

Now even larger: 1600 x 1200 for all standard 4:3 ratio monitors.
Wide version: 1680 x 1050 for all 16:10 wide ratio monitors and HDTV monitors.
Display tip for Windows users: If the wallpaper appears too large for your screen, you should adjust your desktop display settings to "Stretch". To do this, right-click on any empty space on your desktop and choose "Properties". Go to the "Desktop" tab and choose "Stretch" from the "Position" dropdown box and press "OK".
Scenic Lodge House Rental
Scenic Lodge House at Ed Huck Marine will be for rent in 2009; any person or interested parties wishing to rent it by the week or by the month, please e-mail heather or jody for rates, availability and all information.
Getting Ahead Of The Game
With the rapid decline in the Canadian/US dollar relationship, renewal of your docking slip makes for a great deal to our valued US customers. Winter storage, services and even next summer's contract becomes 25% cheaper than when it was at par. Why not pay for it all in full now, so that you are able to take advantage of the current rate before our dollar climbs again.
At the same time, there are some awesome deals on used seadoos, lots of late Model-4-Stroke choices. A christmas present maybe or perhaps a smart move at the right time?
Canvas Work
How is your canvas holding up? Does it need restitching? Do you need a new cover or your seats require upholstering? Instead of waiting until Spring 2009, give Sue a quick call or e-mail Sue so that she can take care of any upholstery needs over the winter months.
Electronic Gate Code
As we slowly inch our way towards the end of another season, the electronic gate code will soon be changing. Anyone requiring the number, please either e-mail me or call 613-659-3408.
Docking Contracts and Fall/Winter Newsletter
Our docking contracts have been sent out by mail with a request that they are forwarded back to us, either by fax (613-659-3413) or mail, no later than November 30th. This will ensure that your docking slip is "yours" for next year. Please remember that failure to return this contract will allow us to take the step of renting any "uncontracted" slip out to some other interested party.
Our latest Fall/Winter newsletter will also shortly be arriving in your mail box - full of all the latest information on Cobalt and Boston Whaler boats for the 2009 season. Scott, Judy or Don can be contacted by e-mail at any time or by calling 613-659-3408.
And as for 2009 Seadoos - if you haven't already ready all about the new and improved features, just click here.
Our First Snow Fall Of The Season
On Wednesday, October 29th, we received our first snow storm of the season; photographs can be seen here. All hands were to deck that morning and a big thank you goes out to all of our dedicated Staff who shoveled and lifted the heavy snow off all boat canvas in order to prevent no or as little damage as possible occuring.
Batteries
Batteries need taking care off, whether it is summer or winter; click here to read what can be done to ensure they are kept in working order.
General
Our hours of operation are now Monday through Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
To all of our American customers and friends, have a very safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Until the next time.
Sincerely,
Carol
