As you may have seen already on our website's www.marina.ca Latest News, Ed Huck Marine's 2009 upgrades are continuing with new paving of the yard starting June 1st.  This paving will not include the area East of the Sales Office nor in between the sea doo storage racks and large covered slips as these areas are where we store our large boats over the winter.  From us to you, THANK YOU for being so patient and we sincerely hope you will enjoy your new environment. WWW.MARINA.CA Have you had a chance to visit our new and improved website recently?  It continues to be upgraded daily and has a plethora of interesting, useful and helpful information at your finger tips. Enter "theriver.me" which "is a place to share what the river means to me, to us, to you and all it has to offer.  It is a page in constant change, just as the river continues to change, please let us know what we are missing, and what you would like to see". Are you receiving all our Latest News as soon as it happens?  If not, using our RSS feed will solve this problem - simply click on the "broadcast button"  while visiting the site or save the address to your bookmark page and you will be notified whenever the website information is updated.  A great way of having all the latest up to date information instantly. ONGOING DEBATE ON ETHANOL Do you know what type of fuel is in your fuel tank?  Here is a very good current detailed article on Ethanol which I hope is of interest - click here for Boat Test. We are often asked what type of fuel do we use; until further notice our fuel at the gas pumps is 89 Octane and it is Non Ethanol. SMALL VESSEL REGULATIONS - Proposed New Regulations The proposed regulations, to be made under the new CSA 2001, are intended to completely replace the existing Regulations made under the former CSA.  The proposed Regulations would apply to pleasure craft and human-powered vessels of all sizes and small non-pleasure vessels of 15 gross tonnage or less that do not carry more than 12 passengers.  The proposed Regulations do not apply to fishing vessels, survival craft or to commercial river rafting. The Canada Gazette 1 published the Small Vessel Regulations on April 25th.  There was a 30 day comment period which ended May 25th.  These regulations can be reviewed here. ONLINE BANKING Many customers have been asking us if Ed Huck Marine could be registered for online banking; this is something we are actively pursuing.  Keep reading our monthly blogs for all the Latest News. SALES While the weather has been cooler than normal, it hasn't dampened the enthusiasm for new Sea Doo and Boat Sales. We are receiving about 13 sea doos a week in order to backfill the strong demand on the new GTX Ltd. and RXT iS products.   We still have a few machines left and if you haven't had a chance to experience the new suspension system and brakes, we'll have our "demo units" in the water this week.  Call Scott, Don or Peter to arrange a ride. The Canadian dollar is on the rise again and that means falling prices on new Cobalts and Whalers.  In fact, the dollar has appreciated almost 15% in the past 45 days.  We still have some 2009 Whalers and Cobalts, including the stunning new 276 left as well as GREAT deals on any leftover 2008 models. EVENTS Many of you have RSVP'd our Wine & Cheese party, Saturday, June 6th from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. at Scenic Lodge House; if you haven't replied, there is still lots of time; call me on 613-659-3408 or e-mail. Our very first Ed Huck Marine's Ladies Morning come rain or shine, Sunday, June 7th from 9.00 a.m. to Noon is just about full; there are only a couple of spots still available and then enrollment will be closed; so please e-mail me now to avoid disappointment. GENERAL INFORMATION Why not enjoy some wonderful locally grown and produced products right on your door step. Saturday mornings at 10.00 a.m., during the months of July & August, Wendy's Mobile Market will be joining us at Ed Huck Marine.  To visit Wendy's Mobile Market, click here.
