Ed Huck Marine Ltd. and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville (BBBSLG) are thrilled to announce a “Monkey Sea, Monkey Doo” Day in support of BBBSLG. The event will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Ed Huck Marine Ltd. It is being planned as a “fun” raiser for the participants and spectators and a “fund” raiser for the local agency that has been delivering high quality mentoring programs to the children and youth in our community for over thirty years. The agency is responsible for generating more than sixty-five percent of its own budget and relies on a number of fundraisers throughout the year to accomplish this. Each year BBBSLG strives to meet the challenge of reaching its fundraising goals. The goals set for the “Monkey Sea, Monkey Doo” Day, are to generate some critical financial support for the agency while raising awareness of the ongoing need for volunteers.
The event will involve a pledge-based Sea Doo Ride on the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Participants and spectators will enjoy an exciting tour of the islands around Rockport and watch the Sea Doo's play before everyone heads back to shore for a delicious BBQ at Ed Huck Marine and lots more fun! Tickets will be on sale for the BIG GREEN LOTTERY, an eco-friendly fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The event relies on sponsorship for its overall success. There are a number of possibilities for sponsorship and I hope that I can count on your support.
