A very BIG THANK YOU to everyone who was able to join us last month for our Ed Huck Marine's Wine & Cheese Party - it was a wonderful turn out and a great way to kick off another fun and exciting season on the water.
As well our thanks go out to Laura Huck and Krista Leakey of Silk Hair Salon in Gananoque who treated all who came to our very first Ladies Morning with a manicure/pedicure. We hope to be able to build on this first time event next year.
COMMON COURTESIES
With the busyness of summer, please take a moment and go back over our Common Courtesy List; if you do not have one of the pamphlets, please let me know as I have lots available. We need to ensure that everyone enjoys their time at the marina.
A couple of important points:
- Please SLOW DOWN - it is extremely important that your wake is kept to a minimum when entering and leaving the marina; not only does excessive wake make it uncomfortable for customers enjoying their boats but can also cause unnecessary damage.
- Camping/tenting is not allowed anywhere on Ed Huck Marine property.
- Dogs are to be kept on their leashes and as a courtesy to all, please dispose of their waste in the provided "Pet Pump Out" stations.
- Please do not park in someone else's named parking spot; there is extra parking available, on a first come first served basis beside the large grey building and beside the hedge to the left of the old Scenic Lodge store.
We very much appreciate all efforts and understand that sometimes it is easy to forget some of the little things that make a big difference to your neighbours.
SUBLETTING SLIPS
Ed Huck Marine's policy is that customers' are not allowed to sublet their slips. However in the event that you have a relative or friend who would like the use of your slip for a period of time whilst you are away, please ask them to call 613-659-3408. We will be happy to offer them the use of your slip, with your permission, at a rate of $3.50 per day.
EXCITING UPCOMING EVENTS
Ed Huck Marine's Customer Cobalt Appreciation Day is happening Saturday, July 18th, 2009; space is limited so please make sure that you e-mail me or call 613-659-3408 to reserve your spot. Once again, we are thrilled to have Paxson of Cobalt Boats and his wife attending the event.
Come and join us on Friday, August 7th, 2009 for a Pot Luck BBQ on the grass at Scenic Lodge House from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. We will be bar-b-quing the hamburgers, so all you have to do is bring yourselves, BYOB and a pot luck goodie. Looking forward to seeing EVERYONE there.
Peter has 2 great Sea Doo Get Togethers' planned for Saturday, August 8th and Saturday, August 15th - come out and have a great time on the water.
After the FAST and FUN sea doo run on Saturday, August 15th, why not plan on spending a RELAXING Sunday, August 16th at an all day Music & Art Event at the Rockport Recreation Centre - read all about the local bands, musicians and artists by clicking here - something for everyone.

I hope you have noticed that a large garbage pail has been placed at each of the docks - Scenic, "B", "C" and "D" docks. You are able to place small white garbage bags in this pail, and they will be emptied daily. Please do not place any large black garbage bags in them or they shall be returned.
WINTER INSIDE STORAGE
Is anyone looking for inside storage for this upcoming winter? For Fall 2009, we can now store 80 boats inside a covered building which allows us all the flexibility and ability to carry out lots of off-season preventative work. If you are interested, please call me at 613-659-3408.
