Haul Out Sheets:
If you haven't already faxed or sent in your haul out sheet outlining your requests, please do so before the arrival of the cold blustery weather.... You need to know that if you do not send in your sheet, your boat will enjoy full winterization of all systems as our schedule permits. If you need a replacement form, just e-mail sue or carol@marina.ca or call 613-659-3408.
Talking about haul out.....if we winterize your boat on your boatlift, why not schedule an appointment to change gear and engine oils before your winter lay-up? And whilst we are talking about changing oil or spark plugs on your 4-stroke Sea Doo, why not bring it in before September 30th to take advantage of our Fall promotion, and you will get $30 off your invoice. Call 613-659-3408 or e-mail sue@marina.ca for an appointment. Just remember this offer is not valid for winterizing services.
New Happenings:
We are working on adding some more shop space for off-season fixes and maintenance this winter. SO if you are looking at preventative maintenance for your boat, contact Sue at sue@marina.ca so that she can schedule you in.
This year we are also designating a specific area so that you can store your dock boxes and bar-b-ques. This area will be marked off west of our Scenic Lodge General Store deck. Please ensure that you have moved your dock box and bar-b-que, both tagged, to this area before the end of September. Thank you.
General:
If you happen to be in and around the marina either busily putting your boat to bed or having one last cruise over the weekend of September 29th/30th, how about joining in with the Rockport Fall Festival. Various activities are being held over this weekend, and flyers outlining the different events will be available at all local businesses.
Have you started planning your winter - mark the following dates in your diary for the Toronto Boat Show - January 11th through January 20th. There will be 3 new Cobalts to view so why not combine it with our annual Ed Huck Marine Customer Appreciation Night. The Sheraton Center Toronto have already set aside a block of rooms at great prices - a standard room (King or 2 doubles) at $75 per night plus tax, or a Club Level room (King or 2 doubles) at $135 per night plus tax which includes a continental breakfast; so hurry and make your reservation before they sell out (416-361-1000). I will keep you posted regarding our event as we get closer.
Once again our annual survey will soon be sent out to everyone for your comments which helps us plan better and make improvements. Plus, a $500 in-house credit goes to one lucky winner, but you have to fill out that survey and send it back to us to be eligible.
This month's wallpaper picture comes to us courtesy of Paul Sorichetti who took a beautiful early morning sunrise whilst anchored at Central Grenadier. Do please keep sending me your pictures of the Thousand Island area. If you can't get down to the river much this Fall to enjoy the scenery and weather, the next best thing is the wallpaper; there is nothing nicer to fight the river withdrawal blues!
